Wuchuan, Guangdong Province is located at the estuary of the lower reaches of Jianjiang River, adjacent to the South China Sea, with crisscross rivers and vast mudflat. The sediment carried by Jianjiang nurtures a large number of plankton, fish, shrimp, and aquatic plants, providing a natural source of food for grey geese. The straw and residue produced by surrounding farmland and sugarcane forests are used as supplementary feed. The local area belongs to the subtropical monsoon climate, with an average annual temperature of 23 ℃ and an annual precipitation of over 1500 millimeters.
