Guigang is located in the core of the Xunyu Plain, with the Yujiang and Xunjiang rivers flowing through it. The river network is interwoven, and wetlands are scattered everywhere. The abundant aquatic organisms provide natural feed for grey ducks, while the crop waste from surrounding rice fields and sugarcane fields is high-quality feed. This area belongs to the South Asian tropical monsoon climate, with an average annual temperature of about 22 ℃, abundant heat, and precipitation exceeding 1500 millimeters. It is warm and humid all year round, creating a favorable environment for the growth of grey ducks. ​

In this environment, Guigang grey ducks have excellent velvet production performance. Adult grey ducks produce an average of 120-150 grams of fluff per year, with fine and dense feathers and a fluffiness of 550-600 FP. The fibers have good elasticity, strong warmth retention, and are resistant to washing and not easily deformed. They are excellent raw materials for making high-end down products.
