Weifang, Shandong Province is located in the central part of the Shandong Peninsula. The Mihe and Weihe River systems are well-developed, and wetlands are widely distributed. Fish, shrimp, and aquatic plants in the water provide a natural source of food for pure white ducks, while straw and other high-quality auxiliary feed from surrounding farmland. The area has a temperate monsoon climate with distinct four seasons, an average annual temperature of 12-13 ℃, sufficient sunshine, and a long frost free period, which is conducive to the growth of duck feathers. In this environment, Weifang pure white ducks have outstanding velvet production performance, with an average annual velvet production of 100-130 grams per adult duck. The velvet is large, with a fluffiness of 500-550FP and strong fiber toughness, making it a high-quality raw material for making warm products.
