Wanxi is located in the western part of Anhui Province, at the northern foot of the Dabie Mountains. The Pi River and Shi River run through it, forming numerous lakes, reservoirs, and wetlands. The water area is vast, and there are abundant aquatic plants, fish, and shrimp, providing a natural feeding ground for the Great White Goose. The crop by-products from the surrounding rice fields and corn fields are also high-quality feed. This area has a subtropical monsoon climate with distinct four seasons, an average annual temperature of 15-16 ℃, abundant precipitation, suitable sunshine, and a mild and humid climate that is conducive to the growth and feather development of large white geese.

Nourished in a superior environment, the Anhui West Great White Goose has excellent velvet production performance, with large and fluffy feathers, good elasticity, and strong warmth retention. An adult goose can produce 150-200 grams of velvet, making it an excellent raw material for making high-end down products and highly competitive in domestic and international markets.
